Timeline

1864 –  Brothers Matthew and Thomas Sault erect the build-ing housing the M. and T. Sault Company [1864- 1871] manufacturing metal machinery and machine parts.

1871 –  The business is renamed to Yale Iron Works [1871- 1880] after a change in the company’s partnership. The new company would last roughly 10 years.

1880 –  The company is bought out by F.C. and A.E. Row-land [1880-1896], maintaining Mathew Sault as the shop’s foreman overseeing the manufacturing of similar products.

1896 –  Miner and Peck Manufacturing Company [1896- 1923] takes over the foundry as they manufacture drop presses, drop lifters and other industrial equip-ment on the premises.

1923 –  The building stops functioning as a foundry as the Peck industry completely moves out after a buy out in 1920.

1929 – Machinery Dealers Inc. [1929-1958] uses the space as their showroom in a post-depression era, where machinery and parts circulate the country.

1959 –  Arrow Laboratories Inc. [1958-1970] takes over the building to use it a storage space.

1967 – Berkley Hall & Sons Upholstery Co. moves in the space and and uses the building as its workshop until recent years.

c. 2015 –  No activity, industrial or other, takes place in the building. It is used as private storage space.
